What happens once I have made a request?
Following your request, we will call you to listen to your brief and understand your needs.
At the same time we will send you our catalogue for you to have an overview of our range.
We will then arrange a free site visit at your convenience with one Project Manager.
On site our Project Manager will advise you about the possible solutions and the best options according to your requirements. He will take photos and measurements in order to issue detailed plans (with elevation views, 3D drawings showing the existing buildings and the final result) and the relevant quotation(s).
Do I need Planning Permission?
In most cases you need to apply for Planning Permission. General rules are applicable however we notice some differences from a County Council to another. You have to contact your Planning Department to check if Planning will be required. It usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to get Planning Permission.
DALO can deal with Planning for you. We will submit a Planning Application on your behalf and act as your agent and architect.
I want to go ahead. How shall I proceed?
You just need to send us your order (by fax for example). We will then contact you within 5 days to arrange suitable dates for the works (foundation works and installation).
For a standard installation, the solution can be delivered in 2 to 3 weeks time.
Can the structures be dismantled and relocated?
Yes. Although our structures are considered as permanent constructions, they can be dismantled and re-installed onto new foundations at any time.
Are your technicians CRB-checked?
Of course all our technicians are CRB-checked. Moreover, we apply a “code of conduct” that they have to respect. Download here (pdf format)
What about safety?
All our products are manufactured with the highest-quality and strongest materials. They are all approved by Building Control Bureau and comply with all UK and UE Building Regulations. Unlike other companies who come from the exhibition industry, DALO comes from the Building industry. This is why our structures are used to create proper buildings.
What differences between your structures and similar ones?
You can first compare the technical aspects where you will notice the differences in the quality of the materials and the specifications (and the performances like resistance to wind and snow loads for example).
But the best thing to do is to visit our existing installations (more than 1000 in UK) and those of our competitors. You will immediately understand the difference!
What maintenance is required?
The structures are made of anodised aluminium and hot-galvanised and powder-coated steel.
No particular maintenance is required for these elements. However we advise to clean the gutters once a year to prevent from any obstruction of the downpipes.
The roof membranes are new generation composite membranes with 100% PVDF treatment of the surface (see chapter “our roofing technology”), ensuring a life time of well over 30 years.
For a white roof membrane, we recommend a cleaning once a year or every 2 years (depending on the exposition to pollution). The grey and terracotta membranes do not require any maintenance.
DALO provides a cleaning service and also an after-sales service in the case if your structure has been exposed to vandalism.
